Training & Learning
Enabling adults with learning disabilities and / or autism to live independent lives within enterprise and the community through employment support.
Adopt a Station
Since 2007 the Aldingbourne Trust’s Community Team has worked in partnership with Southern Railway to successfully deliver their “Adopt a Station” project. Our team of adults with learning disabilities and / or autism and volunteers work hard to make more than 30 stations a more pleasant place to be for travellers by creating and maintaining planters, hanging baskets and window boxes. The skills learned give each individual more confidence to take on paid employment. The improved public spaces showcase what a great contribution people with learning disabilities and / or autism can make to their community when given the opportunity. |
