We plan most visits to incorporate three separate activities:
- A Forest School themed activity which takes place in our small ancient woodland, led by a qualified Forest School Leader.

- A creative activity so that the children can take something home to remember their visit by.
The Forest school activities may be linked to a school curriculum such as Seasons, Growing, Trees etc or books being read for example Bear Hunt, Stig of the Dump, and could include any one of the following activities:
Creative activities can address recycling by making exciting sculptures, painting or weaving, nest building and much more.
- Bug Hunting
- Woodland Animals and their Habitats
- Green Man of the Woods Clay Faces On Trees
- Den Building and Mini Den Building
- Nest Making with natural items
- Pond Dipping
Creative activities can address recycling by making exciting sculptures, painting or weaving, nest building and much more.
The people we support are actively involved in these activities and take great pride in showcasing their work and learning new skills alongside the children. This is an ideal opportunity for the people we support and the children to learn from each other and have a better understanding of someone with a learning disability.
