Sue Livett - CEO
Sue joined us in 1997 as General Manager and was appointed Managing Director in 2003. She had previously developed three innovative schemes in the voluntary sector, including supporting women with forensic psychiatric support needs, a parent-led nursery and ex-offender accommodation. Sue has degrees in Psychology and Business Administration and a diploma in Forensic Mental Health and her voluntary work has included prison visiting, supporting people who are alcohol dependent and the Independent Living Association. Sue is currently a Trustee of Bognor Makerspace and Treasurer of the Aldingbourne, Barnham & Eastergate Community Land Trust. |
Alicia Gooderson - COO
Alicia joined the Trust as Chief Operating Officer in 2025, bringing with her a wealth of experience from diverse industries. Starting her career as a dental anaesthetic nurse, Alicia later spent two decades at Boots, holding leadership positions across pharmacy, operations, commercial, and head office. Most recently, she led the UK COVID-19 testing initiative, which was a pivotal role during a challenging time. Alicia is passionate about driving efficiency and fostering collaboration within teams to achieve the Trust’s goals and vision. |
Clive Owen – Head of Finance
Clive has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, but started his career as a Chartered Accountant with a firm of accountants in the City and later as Finance Manager for a London advertising paper. Following a year travelling through Africa and the Far East, Clive worked in Brussels as Financial Controller for a US law firm before returning to England and working as financial accountant for a building contractor. He joined the Aldingbourne Trust in 2008. |
Gemma Baldwin – Head of People and Development
Gemma joined the Trust in January 2020, she has over a decade of HR experience within the not-for-profit sector. Gemma is innovative and forward-thinking, in past roles she has embedded a people-centred model of HR, a focus on employee wellbeing and aligned the HR function to the organisational objectives resulting in improved people management outcomes. Gemma is skilled in effective change management, coaching and personal development, mediation and conflict resolution, employee relations and has a thorough knowledge of employment legislation. Gemma has a MSc in Human Resource Management and a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership. |
Michelle McKinley Bell – Head of Enterprise & Development
Prior to joining us in 2002, Michelle had a successful career with supermarket multiples as a Training and Personnel Manager, Trading Manager and Customer Service Manager. She initially managed the Acorn, developing a range of community-based projects to support the employment of people with learning disabilities. Now she manages and develops new enterprises within the Trust such as Make and Gig Buddies in Portsmouth, and is responsible for Marketing and Publicity. Michelle has a Certificate in Management within the Voluntary sector. |
Lu Dash – Deputy CEO
Lu joined us in November 2015, taking up the new role of Head of Support. Lu has over 20 years experience working in adult social care, and has for the last 13 years worked in senior management roles for charities in West Sussex and Surrey developing specialist services for people with learning disabilities and people on the autism spectrum. Lu has a degree in psychology and a PG Diploma in Leadership and Management. Outside of work, Lu volunteers for Sussex Search Dogs. |
