Here at the Aldingbourne Trust we rely on our amazing volunteers to help us enrich the lives of adults with learning disabilities and / or autism. We have a whole variety of volunteering opportunities across all of our projects, so we are sure to have something to suit everyone.
Some indoors, some outdoors, some mucky and some pretty tiring but all of them a huge amount of fun and, according to our wonderful volunteers very worthwhile!
Volunteering with Aldingbourne is a truly rewarding experience as well as a fantastic way to learn new skills, meet new people and get involved in your local community.
We provide training and support, plus:
Anyone can apply to volunteer at the Aldingbourne Trust, we have over 140 Volunteers.
How to apply & the application process
Once we have received your enquiry we will arrange a time to have an informal chat. Where we can discuss your skills and how you’d like to help, before filling out the application forms. We will then carry out a DBS Check for the relevant background checks for the role and contact you to arrange your start date and induction.
If you would like to join our team, contact our volunteer coordinator Tracy Milward on 07879 280715
or email firstname.lastname@example.org for an informal chat or information pack.
The Aldingbourne Trust also works with local businesses and employers to organise team volunteering days. These rewarding days offer staff paid time off work that will not only help the Trust but also gives the teams a change of working environment and a different team challenge. The volunteers help with important and meaningful projects allowing the Aldingbourne Trust to make a real difference to people’s lives and a lot of fun is had along the way. Corporate volunteers have been involved in many activities including painting residential flats, clearing woodland, helping with potting plants, getting stuck in with the animals on our open farm or even cutting down trees. Some of our corporate volunteers come from business such as Southern Water, Thesis, Mercers, Amex and The Body Shop.
