Fundraising - Creative Arts Photography Appeal
TOTAL SO FAR: £185
GOAL: £500
Help us raise funds for our Creative Arts project to purchase a brand-spanking new camera! Our Creative Arts Studio is looking to buy a new camera so that they can take better photos for future art/photography projects.
They currently use a digital bridge camera, a Canon Powershot SX520 HS, which is excellent for students as it is lightweight and relatively easy to use. The proposed camera is similar to what they already have but with better spec and additional functions to wirelessly upload pictures and capture video. It would also be ideal to stick with Canon as a brand because the students are used to it. However, the reason for a second camera is that there can be up to 10 students a day, so sharing one camera between so many is difficult.
Helen, the project manager, studied photography at college and is keen to do more digital work at the studio along with a new member of staff, Scarlett, who also studied photography and graphic design, including digital artwork.
This fundraiser is also being supported by former Employee of the Trust, Lisa Palmer, with her 'Pet Portraits'. Lisa used to work at No73 / Creative Arts Studio (CAS) in Bognor and is keen to support their latest Fundraiser with her pet portraits. After struggling with two small strokes in July, she has since turned to art to aid her recovery. As a great lover of animals, having a number of her own pets, she started drawing pet portraits on her iPad.
If you would like a personalised, hand-drawn digital pet portrait, please contact Lisa through her Facebook page 'Palmer's Pet Portraits' or by email at [email protected] Be sure to mention Aldingbourne Trust or the CAS camera fund in your initial message!
If you would like to donate £2 or whatever you can spare, that would be amazing!
